The Ministry

It was a cold evening on the 28th December 2001, the venue was the Awolowo Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Nigeria

Armed with the raw vision for visual evangelism, an outreach was organized specially for the Niger Students who usally stays back on campus during the holidays since Nigeria isnt their country home. This was to be the beginning of the actualization of the specific calling into media evangelism recieved on April 27, 1997 in an hour of prayer.

Several outreaches were conducted thereafter because the burning passion for the lost was the driving force. Soon, it became necessary to have a name for this media evangelical group. The name "POWER OF GOD EVANGELISTIC MINISTRIES" was inspired and the film/drama ministry is called POGEM TV.

In 2003, after series of prayers and fasting, the Leader of the ministry, Seun Jonathan, anwsered the call of God into the full-time ministry, his wife, Temitope Jonathan also left her Banking Job in April 2008 to join the full-time ministry.

Since Inception, several men and women have been involved in the visions of this ministry, they will forever be part of the POGEM story because they made the History.

Just in a quick summary, by the grace of God POGEM TV has produced 7 movies and held outreaches at different cities of the world like;

Iree, Ile-Ife, Ipetumodu, Offa, Osogbo, Ikole-Ekiti, Ede, Ibadan, Lagos, Abeokuta, Ayetoro, Ijebu-ode, Ago-Iwoye, Aawe, Osu, Minna, Epe, Port Novo, Cotonou, Kampala, Kigali, Kitale, Kissi, Lusaka, Ndola, Bujumbura, London, Basingstoke. etc.....

Also, over 6000 VCDs have been given out free for evangelism. POGEM TV films are being aired free on different TV stations in Nigeria, AfricaMagic, Adonai, Rohi in South Africa, Passion TV, ObE and BEN tv in the UK. So many great testimonies we have recieved, and lives are being touched daily. All glory be to God.
